Worplesdon Ballroom and Latin Dance Club

We are a very friendly group who meet every Thursday from 8:00 until 10:30 pm for Ballroom and Latin and some common Sequence Dancing.  There is a session from 8:15 till 9 pm where we have a lesson from a qualified teacher to learn a new routine which changes after 3 weeks. However, there is no teaching on the first Thursday of the month, which is reserved for practising.

We make a small charge, at present 3.50 per person, but this includes tea or coffee halfway through the evening.

Unfortunately, we are unable to take complete beginners and it is also difficult to take people who do not have a dancing partner.  We are at present looking for new members.

For more information, please contact Gwen Steckel at

Worplesdon Pre-school

Worplesdon Pre-school uses the hall in the mornings and three afternoons per week during term time and has an enclosed outdoor play area together with a sensory garden and vegetable plot.

Worplesdon Women's Institute

The Women's Institute was established in this country in 1915 and is a registered charity offering women friendship and learning.  Worplesdon Women's Institute was constituted in 1920.

We meet on the first Wednesday afternoon of the month (excluding July and August) at the Memorial Hall at 2.30pm.  Our programmes include speakers on a diverse range of subjects and we arrange visits to palaces, museums and theatres and walks.
